The Watchtower on the Mediterranean within the project presents PHOTOMEDITERRANEA2010 exhibition of photographs by Bernard Plossu entitled "BARI au 50. "narrative of an extraordinary life through the places and people inside the city, made with great skill by the objective of the French author, now considered a classic among the protagonists of the history of contemporary photography. It is a collection of images of the city of Bari in white and black made recently presented to the public for the first time in the striking setting of the center of the Mediterranean to Vedetta Giovinazzo by Cosmo Laera and in collaboration with the Associazione Culturale Italo French Bari
Opening Sunday, July 25, 2010 at 19:30 and runs until September 30, 2010

of French origin, Plossu Bernard was born in Dalat, Vietnam, in 1945.
started taking photographs at age thirteen in the Sahara desert with a Brownie camera Flash. In 1965 he moved to Mexico, where she took some anthropological expeditions realized first photo shoots for magazines. In the early '70 he moved to California, before moving to Taos, New Mexico, in 1979. Meanwhile
travels frequently to France and Africa. In 1990-91 he lives in Nijar at Almeria, and knows the resort of Cabo de Gata, where an intense activity of exhibitions and seminars.
currently lives in Le Ciotat, near Marseilles.
Throughout his career Bernard Plossu has published over 60 monographs, including New Mexico Revisited (University of New Mexico Press, Albuquerque, 1983), The Garden of Dust (Marval 1989) and two volumes of Mission Photographic Transmanche.
He has exhibited in major international art museums and his works are preserved in the world at major public and private collections including the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, the Musée Stedeljik of Amsterdam and the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.
