Appeal of Wisdom Wave against the G8 Turin

The G8 meeting of the university in Turin falls the day after the EU summit in Louvain on the implementation of guidelines of the Bologna process. Two events in which national governments and governments of the university will design future policies on international research and training. Therefore consider the appeal Wave Turin for a big event of a dispute an opportunity to restate what has happened in recent months in Italy: it is autumn that students and temporary workers have decided to take to the streets to resist the sale of 'public university and to affirm the self-reform paths that go in the direction of a university autonomous and self-managed. We want to live their days in Turin, accepting the challenges that the movements of recent years have place: for France in 2006, through the Greek Revolution and the latest events in London and Strasbourg, the common language was that of conflict around the precariousness and against the crisis. London and Strasbourg on the other hand marked a fracture compared to past practices of dispute: the counter-summits have paved the way, but the insurgent movements in recent months have seen the eruption of a widespread social radicalism. The G8 meeting in Turin in this context represents a further step in the process of construction of the European conflict. Louvain and Turin are the places where no legitimate claim to ministers and presidents to decide the future of education and research. It is clear that the Bologna process has completely failed, just look what he produced in Italy through the introduction of the 3 +2 who has completely deconstructed the teaching in the university without making the link with the world of production, which sets as its goal main. It is also clear that in addition to the rectors of Italy involving more than the preservation of baronial power that real restructuring of the university system.

A Torino ci vogliamo arrivare!
